DL6ZG / ON6ZG

Many thanks to DL6ZG/ON6ZG for getting the Raspberry pi in order.
He made the software to make everything about my RX remote.
Soon you will be able to see the results.

F8FKI

I have been in contact with F8FKI Manu from france on Whatsapp for some time now. We both like the Low Bands.
We have contact almost every day and therefore not only about our hobby but also about other things like rum :-)

Now he had placed an order for the upgraded version of the 9 RX circle Array.
That is the version that VE6WZ has made in which everything is integrated on 1 PCB board with better security in TX mode.
On the Youtube channel of VE6WZ you will find enough information about his RX9 and his adjustments that he has made.

Now I told Manu (F8FKI) that I would like a new system to study and test it out instead of the "old" version of YCCC contest club distributed by PI4CC.
If you type that call into Google, you will end up on their site where you can purchase those PCBs.
When I just looked, I also saw that they are now offering the new version that VE69WZ has made.
Beware if you order it may be that they come directly from China and that you will have to pay customs fees.

Now yesterday (30/09/2021) my girlfriend called to say that a package had arrived from France.
A great surprise that F8FKI sent me the VE6WZ pcb's just out of the blue....

Because we often talk about rum, he also sent a bottle of rum with it.

I was very surprised that he did this, Manu (F8FKI) thanks again there will certainly come something in your direction also.....

As you can see I put the rum first.... made of banana's.
Now with those PCB's my winter is filled again to make this version as well.
When it is ready I will place 2 RX9 circle and then see if and how and what happens if I would connect them together....

But that's not all I received but I knew about that other one.

W8TOM

Today (01/10/21) I received a package from W8TAM Thom from Michigan.
It's also a long story, Thom contacted me with some questions about the 9RX, which I was happy to answer.
When I said I have the old version he suggested to send a pcb of the new version.
So he did and I received it today.

There was no rum with it :-) , but the costs were already high enough to get it in Belgium.
Thom W8TOM if you read this thanks for the effort this is very much appreciated.

Now I have the advantage that I can see the differences in quality between the Chinese version and the version made in the USA.

Both PCBs are of course identical, but you do notice that the print from the USA is of much higher quality than the Chinese version.
Now I don't think this makes a difference on the system.

Thanks again.

Parts RX vertical

ON4PQ

ON4PQ Lieven had given me info a while back about a simple RX vertical for 160m monoband.

When I gave a PowerPoint presentation about RX systems at my club a while back, I came into contact with ON4PQ.
That is the advantage if you give a presentation, you come into contact with other amateurs who are also loving the low bands.

After a while we got in touch on Facebook and he talked about his RX vertical.

Now that I am building some RX systems, I wanted to see what such 1 vertical could do and I started with my own version.

I contacted ON4PQ again, he still had the necessary cores lying around and I drove to his house to pick them up.
I would like to thank him again for the hospitality and for the cores I received from him.
You see hams that help each other still exist.
