Switch and phase unit

It’s not a complete manual how to assembling them just some pictures of the pcb’s from PI4CC

I have no idea why PI4CC use 2 separated  boards. I’m guessing it was cheaper to do it that way. It’s not my intension to have some comments on the boards. They are well made and good quality.

On the phase board the delay lines connector: I would have use 90° F connectors but on this layout that’s not a good option. The other solution was to solder the delay line’s directly on the board.

I ‘am not sure if my (cheap) enclosures for the whole system will be high enough.

At this time I have some wood in stock but a little lazy to take out my table saw so I would use a kitchen cutting board. That option will be rated later on.

After receiving the Fair-rite I can continue building the 9 circle

In the manual of YCCC you will find a description how to test the transformers.

It is only an option but I did the test before I solder them on the PCB.

You never know if I made some mistakes winding them.

The one on the picture is the T1 transformer with the first 5 windings on it. This is also one with a tap point.

There is a subpage on transformer with all the measuring and results

The temperature is down outside and also in my shack.

So it’s time for some more soldering.

Making the chokes and assembled it all on a wooden kitchen board.

There is a subpage for the chokes with all the measuring and results.

Testing the system will be done in the next weeks  if I got some time.

All explanation of the tests are described in the manual of YCCC.
