1/4 wave vertical 80m band

03/11/2022

After the CQWW I have to say that my 2 inverted L have done very well but there are a few things for me that need to improve.
I have too many taps on the coil at the foot of every 1/4 wave inverted L in a contest you sometimes forget that when you work a multiplier you also have to switch the relays .... This is sometimes forgotten which makes the amplifier jumped to safety.

The solution could be that I could switch the relays via band decoder of the transceiver...

But if I do it that way I can no longer switch the 2nd inverted L as director or reflector...

The next solution would be to try again to make another 1/4 wave but this time in a different way...
If I only needed 3 switch positions to be able to use the entire 80m band, this would also help a lot.

Instead of making everything back in aluminum , we are going to use fiberglass.
We are not going to do the entire antenna in fiberglass either... the bottom 6 to 10m will become the current antenna, but instead of working inverted L, we are going to set up the fiberglass mast above it.

So today I bought a HD-Fiber glass mast of 10m... sometime in the course of next week I will receive it (ordered 03/11/2022)

I hope the swr stays below 1.5 per 100khz.
The first tap would be 3.550Mhz the second at 3.650Mhz and then the third at 3.750Mhz.

If the first version succeeds, we will of course also adjust the 2nd inverted L at 80m, but first start with the first of course.

As soon as I start building I will continue to post below with the necessary pictures and also the problems I encounter.
