The Christman feeding system

of two 40m verticals

After several months and after some verry nice DX contacts I wonder if there is something better.

Is there some vertical system with some directivity?

And again searching my friend Mr google and at some point I came across the site of VA7ST who was explaining the Christman feeding of 2 verticals.

Like I said before I am not a expert or engineering type of person but with the explanation on the site of VA7ST it looks simple enough for me to try that system.

There are some calculation to be made or you can use the calculator on the site of VA7ST.

It is in Dutch but I believe that the calculation will be the same around the globe.

After the built it worked at the first attempt.

Again the world of DXing was open and believe me its working fabulous.

But off cause we are amateur radio operators and we are all searching for the best system we can afford  at the available property we have.

So I now have 2 directions east and west.

Again with the help of my friend Mr Google, is there maybe a better system with 4 or even 8 directions on 40m without the use of a monster Yagi? they called it

The 40m 4Square
