Hexbeam

The first one after some research I have made was built with pcb pipe’s. Yes i know weak desing but is was a cheap system and  I did made some very nice contacts with the homebrew one. Like I said PCB pipes was the weakest link in my design. After a little stormy weather it was broken. Again it was fun building the hexbeam with PCB pipes and did I already said it was cheap.

I still love the design I remember that i did my first contact with HF0POL South Shetland isl.  The total parts cost me around 50€.

DL7IO hexbeam 2005

After i have built my own I was looking for the parts to make it stronger and came across the site from DL7IO.

So after calculating all the parts it was cheaper to buy the hexbeam so I bought it from DL7IO.

It was up till spring 2007 and i sold it to a good friend of mine. I have sold the hexbeam because i have moved to a apartment at that time.

Hexbeam MW0JZE

In 2008 we have bought a house in the city of Brugge and I was able again to put up a hexbeam so I did. After some search and notification that DL7IO was moved to ZL country I found the page of MW0JZE and bought one from him. I know you still have the one from SP7IDX.

Between 2008 and 2016 I sold it (stupid decision)  and after some time  bought me a new one.

The reason I have sold it was because I stopped with ham radio and starting playing with some Marklin model trains.

Hexbeam QTH Vladslo

After some personal problems I moved away from the city of Brugge and bought myself a little farm house  in the town Vladslo near Diksmuide.

Well  I sold it again on 22/05/2020 not because I have stopped with amateur radio but because I have the room for some bigger Yagi’s.

A hexbeam is a very wonderful and light weighted system with 2 elements on 6 bands.

On The tab of the KLM34 you will see why I sold it again.
